About Chantal Sonnenberg

My career in property began in 2003 when I joined a major brand in Noordhoek as an assistant to one their top achieving agents. In 2005, I moved to Simonstown where I ran a rental portfolio until 2010, in which time the portfolio quadrupled in size and value. After a break from property in which I pursued a career in wealth management (I obtained my NQF5 qualification), I returned and gained invaluable experience in the commercial property sphere. In and during 2016 I then was offered an opportunity to run a residential division of a major brand which went from strength to strength until my husband and I decided to start Virgin Properties in late 2017. Fortunately, in retrospect, we changed our name to Brightwater Properties in early 2020 after a Trademark dispute with Sir Richard Branson. What sets me apart from other agents is personalised professional service from someone who cares about people and property. I am lucky to have loyal clients who use and refer me constantly. I operate all over the peninsula, I do however have a huge student rental book and run numerous digs for my investors, my properties under management exceeding 100. I get a real thrill from matching buyers/sellers & landlord/tenants.
